Key Features

Key Features

  • Smooth stereo roam provided by built-in ImagePipe software and approved stereo capable graphics card
  • Accepts both stereo re-sampled and raw images – raw images are epipolar, re-sampled on the fly
  • Accepts stereo models generated by any of the Z/I Imaging orientations applications (e.g. ImageStation Model Setup, Digital Mensuration, Automatic Triangulation) including aerial/frame, satellite, and digital sources
  • Contrast/Brightness adjustment (including automatic mode) consistent with ImageStation Model Setup, ImageStation Digital Mensuration, and ImageStation Automatic Triangulation products
  • Both Frame Sequential and Interlaced stereo are supported
  • Supports a wide range of input devices including Immersion SoftMouse, Z/I Imaging Handheld Controller, Z/I Imaging Handwheels kit, and serial trackball. Most buttons are re-assignable
  • The stereo cursor is defined by a user-selectable standard cursor file
  • Several cursors are delivered with ISSD, or users can define their own with inexpensive third-party software
  • Very tight integration with MicroStation – rubber banding and highlight are available in the stereo and roam views
  • Fully adjustable stereo cursor sensitivity
  • Support for generating stereo models from stereo mates generated from orthophotos
  • King’s Move Model Selection allows user to move to an adjacent model with just one mouse click
  • Integrates well with ImageStation Feature Collection, ImageStation DTM Collection, and ImageStation CADMAP/dgn products; may be used standalone with MicroStation or third-party MicroStation-based feature collection tools
  • Works with all commonly used versions of MicroStation including (SE, J and V8)
  • Stereo Zoom command allows user to easily specify view scales to either a zoom value or equivalent map scale
  • Dynamic zoom (when supported by the graphics card) provides a smooth zoom similar to the optical zoom on a stereo plotter
  • Coordinate readout shows the stereo cursor position at all times
  • Vertical (Depth) Indexing adjusts to operator bias
  • Stereo glasses mode (Normal, Pseudo, or Bright) can be selected. Auto-bright mode can be used to automatically set the glasses to Bright when the user is making menu selections. This makes text easier to read, particularly if working in interlaced mode
  • Vectors are displayed in overlay planes such that vector edits are non-destructive to the underlying imagery
  • Set Elevation command is ideal for digitizing contours
  • Several view types are supported (plain MicroStation view, stereo view, mono view of left stereo image, mono view of right stereo image, and a mono view of a geocoded image)
  • A subset of the design file graphics can be selected for roam to speed roam load time when very dense graphics extend outside of the area of interest
  • All commands are available as key-ins, which can be mapped to function keys for improved productivity
  • The ImageStation Stereo Display has a function called "Cursor on Surface” that performs the automatic positioning of a measuring mark by elevation
