Operational Image Analysis 7 - 8 April 2010

Content of this 2 days training is to learn how to process large image data operationally.
OVERVIEW
You will get an introduction to the Workspace Automation technique of tiling and stitching using eCognition Server. Besides that generalization methods are explained, which allows to create the final Objects of interest. As example a land cover classification is demonstrated with focus on extracting shrubs. In a second step a density analysis is done according the number of shrubs in a region.

KEYWORDS
Workspace automation, tiling and stitching, eliminating border effects condition-based image object fusion, neighborhood analysis in a certain distance; sub-level information

CONTENT

• Introduction to the Workspace Automation framework
• The different stages of Workspace Automation, create tiles, process tiles, stitch and post process
• Eliminating border effects after stitching
• The actual classification of density categories:
  1. Sequence of spectral and context features and growing algorithms to generalize Objects
  2. Grow Objects for neighborhood analysis intelligent - condition based Object fusion
  3. Get Number of shrub neighbors – using Object variables
  4. Classify shrub density Classes – use neighborhood information
• Auto-adaptive Image Object creation - generalize shrub density Objects
